Comprehensive Diagnostic Imaging (OPD &amp; IPD) (60%)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Perform and interpret advanced diagnostic imaging, including ultrasound, X-rays, and any other imaging modalities within your professional competence.<br>\u25cf Provide diagnostic services for both outpatient and inpatient populations, ensuring high-quality care for routine cases and critically ill patients.<br>\u25cf Ensure that all findings are documented in clear, timely reports to guide immediate clinical decision-making.<br>\u25cf Adapt imaging techniques to the specific needs of rural patients, maintaining VHW\u2019s standard of excellence and dignity in every exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Clinical Consultation &amp; Specialized Support (25%)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Act as a technical expert to General Practitioners (GPs) and Specialists, assisting them in performing and interpreting complex ultrasound scans.<br>\u2022 Provide real-time bedside consultation in the IPD for surgical, maternal, and emergency cases where imaging is critical to the diagnosis.<br>\u2022 Lead multidisciplinary case reviews, offering radiological insights to help clinical teams solve difficult diagnostic puzzles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Quality, Safety &amp; Training (15%)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Ensure all imaging procedures\u2014whether performed by yourself or other staff\u2014adhere to international safety and radiation protection standards.<br>\u25cf Provide ongoing mentorship and \u00ab\u00a0on-the-job\u00a0\u00bb training for clinical staff to improve the facility\u2019s overall diagnostic capacity.<br>\u25cf Advise on the technical requirements for any new imaging equipment or software being integrated into the Kigutu Hospital.<br>Required Qualifications &amp; Skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Academic &amp; Professional Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent, with a recognized specialization in Radiology.<br>\u2022 Valid license to practice as a Radiologist issued by the Burundi Ministry of Health.<br>\u2022 Additional certifications or training in advanced imaging modalities (CT, MRI, Doppler Ultrasound) are highly desirable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Clinical Expertise &amp; Diagnostic Competence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Demonstrated expertise in performing and interpreting a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including ultrasound, X-ray, CT scan, and MRI.<br>\u2022 Strong analytical capacity to accurately interpret imaging results and produce clear, structured, and clinically relevant reports.<br>\u2022 Proven ability to correlate radiological findings with clinical data to support precise diagnosis and treatment decisions.<br>\u2022 High level of attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic accuracy and patient safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Communication &amp; Clinical Collaboration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Excellent ability to clearly explain radiological findings to clinicians, ensuring proper understanding for patient management.<br>\u2022 Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (GPs, surgeons, obstetricians, etc.).<br>\u2022 Capacity to provide real-time clinical guidance and consultation, particularly in emergency and complex cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. Leadership &amp; Department Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Proven experience in leading or coordinating a radiology unit or department.<br>\u2022 Strong organizational and managerial skills, including supervision of staff, workflow optimization, and resource management.<br>\u2022 Ability to mentor, train, and build capacity among junior staff and other healthcare professionals.<br>\u2022 Demonstrated accountability in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and service delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6. Data Management &amp; Technical Proficiency<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Advanced knowledge and practical experience in radiology information systems (RIS), PACS, and digital imaging technologies.<br>\u2022 Ability to effectively manage, analyze, and safeguard radiological data in compliance with medical and ethical standards.<br>\u2022 Strong understanding of imaging protocols, equipment functionality, and quality assurance processes.<br>\u2022 Capability to contribute to data-driven decision-making and reporting within the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7. Quality, Safety &amp; Professional Standards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 In-depth knowledge of radiation safety standards and international best practices.<br>\u2022 Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with advancements in radiology.<br>\u2022 Strong adherence to medical ethics, patient confidentiality, and institutional protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8.
