The position works<br>closely with facilitators, community stakeholders, and local authorities to monitor program activities, support<br>vulnerable households, and promote social cohesion and life skills development among youth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Key Responsibilities<br>1.1. Program Implementation and Supervision<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support the Program Coordinator in planning, implementing, and monitoring Twiyugurure program<br>activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor and supervise Twiyugurure teaching sessions in collaboration with facilitators and the<br>program coordinator.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the effective delivery of program activities and adherence to program objectives.<br>1.2. Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Response<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with community stakeholders and local authorities to identify households affected by<br>domestic and gender-based violence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Propose appropriate interventions and strategies to address gender-based violence within the<br>community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organize awareness campaigns and community sensitization activities on the prevention of genderbased violence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate activities related to the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence and<br>International Women&rsquo;s Day (March 8).<br>1.3. Training and Capacity Building<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and facilitate training modules on gender-based violence for community stakeholders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the implementation of capacity-building initiatives targeting youth and community members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthen community knowledge and practices related to gender equality and violence prevention.<br>1.4. Psychosocial Support and Community Engagement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide support and guidance to households experiencing violence or family conflict.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report cases requiring psychosocial intervention to the Twiyugurure Program Coordinator for<br>appropriate referral and follow-up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote social cohesion within the community through interactive activities and community-based<br>initiatives.<br>1.5. Youth Mentorship and Development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mentor program graduates and support them in initiating and managing income-generating activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist young graduates in strengthening life skills, including:<br>o Menstrual hygiene management<br>o Positive masculinity<br>o Personal hygiene<br>o Prevention of harmful relationships<br>o Prevention of antisocial and deviant behaviors.<br>1.6. Coordination and Collaboration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate collaboration between the Twiyugurure Program and other Village Health Works programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthen relationships between the program and the community.<br>1.7. Reporting and Documentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare activity reports and submit them within the required timeframes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain proper documentation of program activities and community interventions.<br>1.8. Other Duties<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform any other tasks assigned by the Program Coordinator or the Community Engagement<br>Department in line with program objectives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Qualifications and Experience<br>2.1. Education<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A Bachelor\u2019s degree (BAC+3 or BAC+4) in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Community<br>Development, or a related social science field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A secondary school diploma (A2) in a social field such as ECOSO, ENEFA, or equivalent is<br>considered an asset.<br>2.2. Professional Experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least three (3) years of professional experience in psychosocial support services or communitybased programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in gender-based violence prevention and response programs are highly desirable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience working in hospital or clinical environments is an advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in project implementation and community engagement activities is an asset.<br>2.3. Gender-Sensitive Experience (Key Requirement)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated experience working directly with women and girls, particularly in gender-based<br>violence (GBV) prevention and response programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven ability to create a safe, confidential, and trusting environment for female beneficiaries to<br>share sensitive issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience facilitating discussions on sensitive topics such as:<br>o Domestic violence<br>o Sexual and reproductive health<br>o Menstrual hygiene management<br>o Harmful relationships<br>2.4. Psychosocial Support &amp; Counseling Skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong experience in providing psychosocial support and basic counseling, especially to female<br>survivors of violence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to actively listen, empathize, and provide appropriate guidance in culturally sensitive<br>contexts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with referral pathways for GBV survivors (health, legal, and protection services).<br>2.5. Communication &amp; Facilitation Skills with Women and Girls<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with women, adolescent girls,<br>and vulnerable groups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience leading women-focused group discussions, awareness sessions, and community<br>dialogues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to communicate on intimate and sensitive issues with respect, discretion, and cultural<br>awareness.<br>2.6. Community Engagement &amp; Trust Building<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven ability to build trust with female community members and vulnerable households.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience working closely with women\u2019s groups, mothers, and female youth in community<br>settings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong cultural awareness and ability to navigate gender norms and barriers.<br>2.7. Safeguarding &amp; Ethical Practice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong understanding of confidentiality, survivor-centered approaches, and ethical handling of<br>sensitive GBV cases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commitment to respect, dignity, and non-judgmental support, especially when working with<br>women and girls.<br>2.8.
