ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as Epidemic Control Officer. Under the guidance and direction of the Regional Team Lead/ Epidemic Control Advisor based in Gitega for the RISE project in Burundi, the Epidemic Control Officer will oversee and will support the implementation of HIV testing, care and treatment programming, quality improvement interventions and the laboratory component of the RISE-Burundi project in either. S/he will provide technical and implementation guidance and oversight to the RISE Burundi sites liaising with partners and local organizations.

ICAP seeks highly qualified and experienced candidates to fill the Epidemic Control Officer position by April 2022. The successful candidate will hold a Nursing degree or international equivalent or Medicine Doctorate and At least 3 years of experience in the care of people living with HIV. Note that a Master of Public Health is an added advantage.
The incumbent will have a demonstrated track record working on US Government-supported PEPFAR programs. The Epidemic Control Officer will also have experience working effectively as a part of diverse staff teams, and contributing to successful collaborations with donors, host-country ministries of health, and civil society.
